The station is hosted at live365.com and is currently broadcasting non-stop 24 hours 7 days a week (at 64kbps/22.05kHz/Stereo - min. 64k-ISDN connection required). The complete programme takes about 10+ hours, containing more than 100 randomly played songs. The playlist is updated every few month. The Delicious Lo-Fi Lounge is not moderated and does not broadcast live.

Sit back and relax - this could be one motto of The Delicious Lo-Fi Lounge. This is what I feel when listening to this specific kind of delicious electronica music. TripHop, Ambient, Downbeat, BigBeat, Dub, NewAge, Drum&Bass. Not every tune, but the groovy, relaxing, lounge style rhythms. Life is fast enough.

I was six when I bought my first 7". Since then I was infected by a virus, which caused a lot of vinyl and cds in my house. I always was interested in a special kind of music, the honest kind, the mood rising kind of music. This is what I like to share with you.

You don't want to mess around with live365.com webpages? No problem. The Delicious Lo-Fi Lounge streams directly into your standard desktop MP3-player like WinAmp as well. Use any audio player that supports streaming MP3s, although you can not launch the station directly from the player. Instead you must launch the station from the Live365 Station Page. To set the player that launches Live365 stations, listeners must visit their Listen Settings Page and make changes to the MP3 Player section. You must be logged in at Live365.com while listening.

A detailed track information is not provided within the stream. Since it is possible to show HTML pages in WinAmp, open http://radio.freeq.de/tracks.html (ad-free: http://radio.freeq.de/tracks_afl.html) within WinAmp (using Ctrl+O). The shown track information is updated immediately, when the actual track changes. This should work in a similar way with other MP3-players.

To receive the music in the better mp3PRO near CD quality, you need to be a preferred VIP member at live365. Preferred members are provided with a special ad free broadcast (same songs, but different order with no commercial breaks).

For listeners who use WinAmp versions prior to 3.0 a free codec plug-in for mp3PRO is available. Unfortunately no newer versions of the plug-in were released. In WinAmp versions 3.0+ the plug-in causes minor display errors on the skins. In general it should work without upgrading your live365 account. You will get a clear near CD quality sound.
